Volunteers are a vital part of the Children's Water Festival. Without them the festival simply would not be possible. Festival volunteers are a collaboration of different groups from the community. The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) has participated in the Children's Water Festival every year! These adults run the registration desk, maintain the break room, and usher the Billy B concert. Local high school students are another huge help at the festival. Students in Science Club, National Honor Society, and Environment Club volunteer to help out the day of the festival. Their jobs include escorting classes from the parking lot to the registration table, assisting presenters, working the break room, monitoring the hallways and classrooms, and playing the role of Wanda WaterDrop, the festival mascot!
The festival is always seeking another set of hands to help. If you or your organization are interested in volunteering please contact the Festival Coordinator, Erin Campbell at (517) 393-0342 or email her at ecampbell@mitcrpc.org.
