Each year, dozens of environmental professionals volunteer their time to help out at the festival. Throughout the day the students attend different sessions learning about the importance of water. These presenters administer the sessions. Each student attends two sessions and each volunteer presents approximately five times. During each session, the presenter will introduce a hands-on activity that highlights the importance of water. These activities must be 20 to 25 minutes long, include interactive participation, be appropriate for fourth and fifth grade students and correlate with the festival's theme; Think Hydro-logical. Some presenters have created their own activities while others have used activities from water source books, environmental education books, or the web. For a list of ideas or activities, please contact the festival coordinator.

Before the festival, presenters will receive a package in the mail. This package includes their festival t-shirt, a program, and instructions for the day's events. Presenters are asked to wear the t-shirt the day of the festival and arrive an hour before their first session in order to set up. When they arrive they will check-in at the registration desk. Breakfast and lunch are provided as well as snacks and beverages throughout the day.
